A COMBO OF YOGA BREATH AND ART

In the “Chakra Series” we will be creating Yantras based on each chakra.
What exactly is a Yantra you ask?
Yantras are geometric symbols that contain the specific energy of a planet or deity.
Each Yantra imparts a healing energy that you can harness in your life.
How about Chakras, what are they?
Chakras are energy centers or “wheels” that drive us through life. There are seven major energy centers in the body. Each one has specific duties that help us integrate the mind, body and spirit.
This session will focus on the Sacral Charka.
We will begin each session with simple yoga and breathing techniques that focus on the session’s chakra and then we will move to the Artistic Expression section where you will be guided to create your Yantra.
You will complete the session with a deeper understanding of the specific chakra and a Yantra to take home with you.

BREATH AND MEDITATION

Do you lead a stressful life? Do you work in a high stress job, so much so that you find it hard to breathe?
Intro to Breath Work and Meditation will teach you basic breathing exercises (pranayama) and guide you through different types of meditation to help ease stress and anxiety.
This two-hour workshop will begin by leading you through several breathing techniques like Ujjayi, Deerga Swasam, Nadi Shodhana and Kumbhaka. Then you will learn several meditation techniques like Japa, Chakra, Trataka and more.
You will leave with a breath and meditation toolkit to help you navigate through stressful situations and breathe with ease.
Wear comfortable clothes and bring journal.
